Costs of civil engineering decreased by 0.2 per cent in April 2025 year-on-year
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, the costs of civil engineering decreased by 0.2 per cent in April 2025 compared to the previous year's corresponding period. The annual change in costs varied by sub-index from 4.0 per cent for technical and other systems to -1.3 per cent for rock structures.

- Examined by cost factor in April 2025, the biggest cost increase from one year ago occurred in the costs of labour, 2.9 per cent.
- Examined by cost factor, costs fell the most in a year in the costs of own machinery, 9.8 per cent.
- Examined by cost factor in materials, costs increased most per year in timber as well as other materials and supplies, 7.0 per cent. The costs of bitumens and plastic products decreased the most, 3.8 per cent.
