According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, Finland's population was 5,655,296 at the end of July 2026. During January-July Finland's population increased by 2,415 persons. The reason for the population increase was migration gain from abroad. The number of immigrants was 9,169 higher than that of emigrants. The number of births was 6,727 lower than that of deaths.
