Road traffic accidents claimed 9 lives in January 2026

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, 149 accidents involving personal injury happened in road traffic in January 2026. In them, nine persons were killed and 205 persons injured. The number of fatalities was four lower and the number of persons injured 29 higher than in January 2025. The data were compared with the previous year's preliminary data.
