Number of trips made by rail increased by 5 per cent in the last quarter of 2025

Transport and tourismAccording to Statistics Finland, 22.5 million trips were made in railway passenger transport in in the last quarter of 2025, which is 5 per cent more than in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. A total of 7.0 million tonnes of goods were transported in freight transport, which is 1 per cent less than in the corresponding quarter last year.
