According to Statistics Finland, altogether 1.8 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in February 2026. The total number of passengers increased 9 per cent compared to February 2025. The number of passengers on domestic flights increased 11 per cent and the number of passengers on international flights increased by 9 per cent from the previous year.

Read more about the correctionIn February 2026, a total of 1.3 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 489,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports. Compared to February 2025, the total number of passengers was 9 per cent higher at domestic airports.
Of the air traffic passengers 75 per cent travelled on international flights and 25 per cent on domestic flights in February 2026. The share of passengers on international flights was 83 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 56 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 95 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.
In February 2026, air freight and mail transport totalled 15,167 tonnes. In all, 100 per cent of the tonnes were transported through Helsinki Airport and 99 per cent in traffic between Finland and foreign countries. Altogether 6,667 tonnes (44 per cent) of the transported volume of goods were incoming and 8,500 tonnes (56 per cent) were outgoing.
In January to February 2026, a total of 3.5 million passengers flew through Finnish airports, which was 8 per cent more than in 2025 during the same period.
From the beginning of 2026 the volume of freight and mail transport totalled 30,448 tonnes, which was 13 per cent less than in January to February 2025.
