According to Statistics Finland, altogether 1.9 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in June 2026. The total number of passengers increased 5 per cent compared to June 2025. The number of passengers on domestic flights increased 10 per cent and the number of passengers on international flights increased by 5 per cent from the previous year.

Read more about the correctionIn June 2026, a total of 1.7 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 188,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports. Compared to June 2025, the total number of passengers was 5 per cent higher at domestic airports.
Of the air traffic passengers 87 per cent travelled on international flights and 13 per cent on domestic flights in June 2026. The share of passengers on international flights was 93 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 37 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 98 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.
In June 2026, air freight and mail transport totalled 17,792 tonnes. In all, nearly 100 per cent of the tonnes were transported through Helsinki Airport and nearly 100 per cent in traffic between Finland and foreign countries. Altogether 8,036 tonnes (45%) of the transported volume of goods were incoming and 9,756 tonnes (55%) were outgoing.
In January to June 2026, a total of 10.6 million passengers flew through Finnish airports, which was 6 per cent higher than in 2025 during the same period.
From the beginning of 2026 the volume of freight and mail transport totalled 97,091 tonnes, which was 7 per cent higher than in January to June 2025.
