A total of 1.9 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in July 2026

Number of passengers on Finnish airport increased from last year

In July 2026, a total of 1.7 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 159,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports. Compared to July 2026, the total number of passengers was 7 per cent higher at domestic airports.

Of the air traffic passengers 90 per cent travelled on international flights and 10 per cent on domestic flights in July 2026. The share of passengers on international flights was 94 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 38 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 98 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.

In July 2026, air freight and mail transport totalled 19,000 tonnes. In all, 98 per cent of the tonnes were transported through Helsinki Airport and nearly 100 per cent in traffic between Finland and foreign countries. Altogether 8,383 tonnes (44%) of the transported volume of goods were incoming and 10,617 tonnes (56%) were outgoing.

In January to July 2026, a total of 12.5 million passengers flew through Finnish airports, which was 6 per cent higher than in 2025 during the same period.

From the beginning of 2026 the volume of freight and mail transport totalled 118,319 tonnes, which was 11 per cent higher than in January to July 2025.
