Non-subsidised rents rose by 0.2 per cent in 2025

According to Statistics Finland, rents of government-subsidised dwellings went up by 3.9 per cent in Greater Helsinki and by 3.0 per cent elsewhere in Finland in 2025 from the year before. The rents of non-subsidised dwellings decreased by 0.5 per cent in Greater Helsinki and increased by 0.6 per cent in the rest of the country.

  • In 2025, rents of non-subsidised dwellings increased most in Rovaniemi (1.8%), Tampere (0.9%) and Kokkola (0.9%).
  • Rents of government-subsidised dwellings went up most in Joensuu (5.6%), Turku (5.0%) and Helsinki (4.3%).
  • Since 2015, rents of non-subsidised dwellings have increased by 11.7% and rents of government-subsidised dwellings by 20.8%.
