Leisure trips in Finland decreased by one fifth in December 2025
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, around 1.5 million domestic leisure trips with overnight stay and 0.5 million leisure trips abroad were made in December 2025. The number of both domestic leisure trips and leisure trips abroad decreased by around one fifth from the previous year.

- In December 2025, the number of domestic leisure trips with paid accommodation was 0.4 million and that of trips with free accommodation 1.1 million. The number of both trips decreased from the year before.
- The number of leisure trips abroad with overnight stay in the destination country was about 0.4 million, which is slightly more than one year earlier.
- Altogether 5.1 million overnight stays during leisure trips were recorded in Finland and 4.0 million abroad in December 2025.
