Domestic leisure travel decreased slightly in June 2026
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, around 2.4 million domestic leisure trips with overnight stay were made in June 2026. Around 0.7 million leisure trips abroad were made. Trips abroad include trips with overnight stay in the destination country, overnight cruises and same-day trips. The number of domestic leisure trips decreased slightly and that of leisure trips abroad remained on level with the previous year.

- In June 2026, around 1.7 million domestic leisure trips with free accommodation were made, which is nearly one tenth fewer than in June 2025.
- The number of domestic leisure trips with paid accommodation was 0.7 million, which is unchanged from the previous year.
- The number of leisure trips abroad with overnight stay in the destination country was around 0.6 million, which is slightly more than in June 2025.
- Altogether 8.3 million overnight stays during leisure trips were recorded in Finland and 4.1 million abroad in June 2026.
