Number of marriages entered into grew in 2025

According to Statistics Finland, 22,082 marriages were entered into in 2025. The number of marriages entered into increased by 662 from the previous year. A total of 21,588 marriages between opposite-sex spouses were entered into, which is 593 more than in the year before. Same-sex couples entered into 494 marriages, 69 more than in the previous year.
