According to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover in industry (TOL BCD) increased by 4.1 per cent in November 2025 from November 2024.

Turnover increased in several main industries

In November, working day adjusted turnover grew strongest in the industry of mining and quarrying, up by 22.5 per cent from the previous year. Turnover in the chemical industry was 7.1 per cent higher than one year previously. Turnover also increased from one year back in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (3.7%), in the electronic and electrical industry (3.5%) and in the metal industry (3.3%). Turnover in the food industry increased by 2.6 per cent. Turnover decreased in the forest industry (-2.4%) and in the textile, clothing and leather industry (-1.1%).

Export turnover grew in nearly all main industries

Export turnover grew in nearly all main industries in November. Growth in export turnover was strongest in mining and quarrying, up by 53.2 per cent from the previous year. Export turnover in the food industry was 9.8 per cent higher than one year previously. Export turnover also grew in the chemical industry (4.3%), in the textile, clothing and leather industry (2.7%), in the metal industry (1.3%) and in the electronic and electrical industry (1.0%). Export turnover decreased only in the forest industry, by 11.2 per cent from twelve months earlier.

Domestic turnover grew most in November in the forest industry, by 20.8 per cent from one year back. Domestic turnover in the chemical industry was 13.2 per cent higher than one year ago. Domestic turnover in the electronic and electrical industry grew by 11.3 per cent and in the metal industry by 8.8 per cent from one year ago. Domestic turnover decreased in mining and quarrying (-9.6%), in the textile, clothing and leather industry (-3.6%) and in the food industry (-0.8%).

Turnover decreased in November from the previous month

Seasonally adjusted turnover in industry decreased slightly in November, by 0.1 per cent 2025 compared to October. In October, turnover grew by 1.5 per cent and in September by 1.8 per cent from the month before.
