Turnover in industry grew by 13.5 per cent in June 2026

According to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover in industry (TOL BCD) increased by 13.5 per cent in June 2026 from June 2025.

Turnover grew in all main industries

Adjusted for working days, turnover grew in June in all main industries. Turnover grew most strongly in mining and quarrying, by 51.9 per cent from one year ago. Turnover in the electronic and electrical industry grew by 21.9 per cent. Turnover was 19.3 per cent higher in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, 17.5 per cent higher in the metal industry and 12.0 per cent higher in the chemical industry than one year earlier. Turnover also grew in the forest industry (6.7%), in the textile, clothing and leather industry (6.4%) and in the food industry (4.5%).

Export turnover grew in all main industries

Export turnover grew in all main industries in June from one year ago. Growth in export turnover was strongest in mining and quarrying, up by 67.4 per cent from the previous year. In the electronic and electrical industry, export turnover was 25.9 per cent higher and in the metal industry 21.7 per cent higher than one year earlier. Export turnover was higher than one year before also in the food industry (11.5%), the chemical industry (10.4%), the forest industry (9.8%) and the textile, clothing and leather industry (0.2%).

Domestic turnover in industry adjusted for working days grew in June in almost all main industries. Domestic turnover grew most in mining and quarrying, by 23.1 per cent from one year ago. Domestic turnover was 14.5 per cent higher in the chemical industry and 10.4 per cent higher in the textile, clothing and leather industry than a year earlier. Domestic turnover also grew in the electronic and electrical industry (7.6%), in the metal industry (6.0%) and in the food industry (4.3%). Domestic turnover decreased only in the forest industry, by 2.6 per cent from the previous year.

Turnover grew in June from the month before

Seasonally adjusted turnover in industry grew in June 2026 by 3.2 per cent compared to May. Turnover grew by 0.5 per cent in May and decreased by 0.1 per cent in April from the month before.
