New orders in manufacturing decreased by 26.1 per cent year-on-year in November 2025

Changes in the examined main industries

Enterprises received fewer new orders in November 2025 than twelve months ago in the metal industry and in the manufacture of paper, and paper and board products. Orders decreased most in the metal industry where the value of orders was 30.6 per cent lower than in the year before. The fall in the value of orders in the metal industry is partly explained by the exceptionally high value of orders in the corresponding period of the previous year, generated by a few large orders. In the manufacture of paper, and paper and board products, the value of new orders was 13.8 per cent lower than a year earlier. New orders in the chemical industry grew by 0.9 per cent from one year ago.
