Vessels in the regular merchant fleet numbered 604 in the second quarter of 2026
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the size of Finland's regular merchant fleet was 604 vessels in April to June 2026. Small vessels included 169 vessels and barges and other engineless vessels 268 vessels. The total size of the Finnish merchant fleet was 1,041 vessels with gross tonnage of 1,894,959.

- Compared to the situation at the end of the last quarter of 2025, the number of vessels in the regular merchant fleet had decreased by seven and the number of vessels in the entire combined merchant fleet by 10 by the end of the second quarter of 2026.
- The Register of Merchant Vessels, in which vessels operating mainly in foreign traffic can be entered, contained a total of 101 vessels in the second quarter of 2026.
