Exceptional revision in international trade in services in connection with the release of 20 June 2022

The sampling frame for the inquired international trade in services and international flows of goods for the statistical reference year 2020 was found deficient in connection with the data collection for the statistical reference year 2021. The data in question were corrected in the release of the statistics on international trade in goods and services on 20 June 2022. The correction of the frame increased the value of service imports by around EUR 570 million and the value of service exports by around EUR 370 million in the statistical reference year 2020. The corresponding level shifts were also passed on to the statistical reference years 2021 and 2022.
