Structure of earnings: New Classification of Sectors adopted in the statistics and changes in the database tables

The Classification of Sectors 2023 was adopted in the structure of earnings statistics. The earnings of wage and salary earners are no longer produced in the statistics by the employer sector division, but only according to the Classification of Sectors 2023.
Of the sectors previously used in the structure of earnings, the budget economy of central government (S.13111) remains unchanged. Of employer sectors, the local government sector is divided into local government excl. wellbeing services county administration (S.13131) and wellbeing services county administration (S.13132). Unlike the previous employer sector, these sectors also include all other units of local government and wellbeing services county administration belonging to categories S.131319 and S.131329. The private sector of employer sectors is mostly comprised of non-financial corporations, financial and insurance corporations, and non-profit institutions serving households (S11 to S12, S15). Social security funds belonging to the private employer sector (S.1314) and other units of central government (S.13119) are not included in the combined group based on the official Classification of Sectors that describes the private sector.
