Periodic survey of motor vehicle trade

The statistics have been discontinued. The periodic survey of motor vehicle trade is produced at specific intervals as an inquiry directed to enterprises. The inquiry comprises sale, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and retail sale of automotive fuel. The enterprises are selected to the sample survey so that enterprises of different size are included. The responses obtained from the sample enterprises are inflated to correspond to the data of the enterprises in the frame by industry and CPA category. The data concern the division of turnover in motor vehicle trade by product. The inquiry made in 2006 concerns the year 2005 and the following one the year 2010. Statistics Finland's periodic survey of motor vehicle trade is based on the Council Regulation concerning structural business statistics (58/97).
