Own account workers Survey

In 2013 a total of 2,000 persons aged 15 to 64 working as sole entrepreneurs, own-account workers, freelancers or on a grant were interviewed for the survey. The respondents were drawn from Statistics Finland's Labour Force Survey.

The survey produces generalisable information about becoming an entrepreneur, working as an entrepreneur and on working conditions, employment situation, livelihood and issues related to social security among sole entrepreneurs, own-account workers, freelancers and grant recipients.

Data protection, rights and obligations

All data collected for statistical purposes are confidential. When processing data, it is seen to that no person's privacy or business or professional secret are endangered. Every person employed by Statistics Finland has signed a pledge of secrecy.
