The objective of the data collection is to ascertain new, closed and merged educational institutions and changes in the names of education institutions for the data collection concerning students that will be conducted in autumn of the year in question.
Organisations have an obligation to provide data. The obligation to provide data is based on the Statistics Act (280/2004).
All data collected for statistical purposes are confidential. When processing data, it is seen to that no person's privacy or business or professional secret are endangered. Every person employed by Statistics Finland has signed a pledge of secrecy.
