Business services

The business services inquiry collects information on the production of services. Enterprises are asked about the breakdown of turnover by product category. In addition, they are requested to specify possible sales to households (private customers) by product category.

Depending on the industry, data are collected from enterprises employing at least 5, 10
or 20 persons and in some cases from enterprises smaller than this. The size of the sample is around 2,000 enterprises.

In addition to the statistics on service industry commodities, the collected data are utilised in the compilation of the producer price index for services and national accounts.
