Sales of retail trade grew by 6.5 per cent in February

According to Statistics Finland, retail trade sales rose by 6.5 per cent in February from February 2010. Sales volume also grew by 3.7 per cent during the same time period. Wholesale trade sales went up by 6.9 per cent and motor vehicle sales by 41.7 per cent. In total trade sales increased by 10.3 per cent in February.

Sales in retail trade rose by 6.0 per cent and in wholesale trade by 11.6 per cent in January to February compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. Motor vehicle sales rose by 32.2 per cent. In total trade sales were up in January to February by 12.2 per cent on the respective period of the year before.
