Sales of retail trade grew by 9.0 per cent in February
According to Statistics Finland, retail trade sales increased by 9.0 per cent last February from February 2011. Over the same time period, the volume of retail trade sales grew by 5.4 per cent. In daily consumer goods trade, sales grew by 9.6 per cent and in department store trade by 5.5 per cent. Wholesale trade sales went up by 13.5 per cent. In motor vehicle trade, sales were up by 7.0 per cent year-on-year. In total trade, sales grew by 11.4 per cent in February.

Sales in retail trade rose by 8.1 per cent and in wholesale trade by 12.8 per cent in January to February compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. Motor vehicle sales rose by 12.3 per cent. In total trade sales were up in January to February by 11.4 per cent on the respective period of the year before.
