Road Freight Transport 2007

In 2007, the volume of goods transported by lorries in domestic road transport amounted 415 million tonnes, which was 6 per cent more than in 2006. The total performance of lorries was 25,962 million tonne-kilometres. There was a two per cent increase in tonne-kilometres from 2007. These data derive from the statistics on domestic goods transport by road compiled by Statistics Finland.

A total of 192 million tonnes of soil materials were transported during 2007. The volume of other goods totalled 223 million tonnes. Transport of soil materials increased by 12 per cent while transport of other goods increased by 2 per cent from the year before.
