Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased in July

The goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,3 million tonnes in July 2021. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 35 per cent compared to July 2020. In July 2021 domestic water transport took place only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most, in total 166,343 tonnes, which was 57 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was crude minerals and cement, 63,710 tonnes.

Vessel traffic and goods volume in the Saimaa Canal

A total of 17,639 tons of transport were registered through the canal in domestic traffic.
