Most turnover was generated in less than truck load and full truck load transport in the industry of freight transport by road and removal services in 2020
According to Statistics Finland's statistics on service industry commodities, the majority of the turnover of services in freight transport by road and removal services (494), or 40.8 per cent, consisted of less than truck load and full truck load road transport in 2020. The turnover from less than truck load and full truck load transport was EUR 2.5 billion. The product category with the smallest turnover share was removal services, 1.5 per cent of the industry's turnover. The turnover amounted to close on EUR 100 million.
The share of household customers in the turnover of the product category less than truck load and full truck load road transport was 1.4 per cent, while in removal services its share of the turnover of the product category was 32.2 per cent.
The industry coverage of the statistics has been widened during 2021 and will be extended further during 2022, after which the statistics will cover 16 new industries.
