Turnover in service industries grew by 3,3 per cent in March to May
Growth in total turnover generated by service industries continued in the March to May period of 2010, when it increased by 3,3 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year. One year previously turnover of service industries contracted by 6,4 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade and the data have been adjusted for working days by eliminating the effects of calendar variations from them.

In March to May turnover of all service industries was growing compared with the respective three-month period one year earlier. Turnover of the largest group of service industries, i.e. transportation and storage, improved most and was 6,2 per cent higher than one year ago. Brisk growth was still recorded in administrative and support service activities where turnover in the examined period was 5,1 per cent up on one year back.
