Turnover in service industries grew by 6,4 per cent in April to June
The positive development of service industries continued in April to June 2010, when their combined turnover grew by 6.4 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year. One year previously turnover of service industries contracted by 8.2 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade and the data have been adjusted for working days by eliminating the effects of calendar variations from them.

The engines of growth for turnover in service industries were enterprises in transportation and storage, where turnover grew by 10.9 per cent from the previous year's April to June. In the second quarter turnover in arts, entertainment and recreation and in professional, scientific and technical activities reached growth of over six per cent. Turnover in administrative and support service and real estate activities increased by good five per cent from one year back.
