Turnover in service industries grew by 8,3 per cent in August to October
Turnover in service industries grew by 8.3 per cent in August to October 2010 from the corresponding time period of the year before. One year previously, turnover in service industries contracted by 9.5 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade and the data have been adjusted for working days by eliminating the effects of calendar variations from them.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover in services (TOL 2008)
Among the service industries, turnover continued to grow most rapidly in transportation and storage enterprises, whose turnover increased by 12.6 per cent from the August to October period of the previous year. Over ten per cent growth was also seen in the turnover of administrative and support service activities. Both in arts, entertainment and recreation, and in professional, scientific and technical activities, turnover grew by over seven per cent year-on-year.
