Turnover in service industries grew by 8,8 per cent in February to April

Turnover in service industries grew by 8,8 per cent in February to April from the corresponding time period of the year before. One year previously turnover in service industries grew by 0,5 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade and the data have been adjusted for working days by eliminating the effects of calendar variations from them.

Among the service industries, turnover grew fastest in administrative and support service activities enterprises, whose turnover increased by 12.9 per cent from one year ago. Over ten per cent growth was also seen in the turnover of transportation and storage and professional, scientific and technical activities. The growth was slowest in other service activities and in information and communication.

As of the beginning of 2011, the responding instructions of the sales inquiry have been clarified so that as a rule the concept of turnover in the sales inquiry conforms with the Bookkeeping Act.
