Turnover in service industries grew by 5.8 per cent in January to March
Turnover in service industries grew by 5.8 per cent in January to March from the corresponding time period of the year before. One year previously turnover in service industries grew by 8.0 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade and the data have been adjusted for working days by eliminating the effects of calendar variations from them.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover in services (TOL 2008)
In the first quarter, turnover in service industries grew fastest in professional, scientific and technical activities, where the growth amounted to nearly 11 per cent. Real estate activities grew by over 9 per cent and accommodation and food service activities by over 8 per cent. The growth of turnover was slowest in information and communication activities and in arts, entertainment and recreation.
