Turnover of construction enterprises grew by 12.5 per cent in the first quarter of 2012
The turnover of construction enterprises grew by 12.5 per cent in the January-March period when compared with the corresponding three-month period of the year before. In the first quarter of 2012, turnover increased by 13.2 per cent in building construction, 15.5 per cent in civil engineering and by 11.2 per cent in specialised construction activities from twelve months back.

The sales volume of construction enterprises was 4.5 per cent up year-on-year in the first quarter of 2012. In building construction, the sales volume grew by 5.2 per cent and in civil engineering by 7.3 per cent. The sales volume in specialised construction activities was 3.3 per cent up year-on-year in the January-March period.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
