Turnover of construction enterprises fell by over 3 per cent in November to January from the year before

Turnover of construction enterprises contracted by 3.2 per cent in
November to January from the year before. The turnover of civil
engineering fell by 7.4 per cent and that of construction of
buildings by 4.7 per cent. The turnover of specialised construction
activities decreased by 0.5 per cent.

The sales volume of construction enterprises went down by 6.1 per cent year-on-year in the November to January period. The sales volume of civil engineering contracted by 10 per cent, that of building construction by 8.3 per cent, and that of specialised construction activities by 4.9 per cent.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
From this release onwards the statistics describing turnover in construction will adopt base year 2010=100.
