Turnover of construction enterprises grew by 6.7 per cent in December to February period
In December to February, the turnover of construction enterprises increased by 6.7 per cent and the sales volume by 6.1 per cent year-on-year. In the corresponding period one year earlier turnover decreased by 1.7 per cent.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover of construction (TOL 2008)
Turnover grew in all construction industries. The growth was biggest in civil engineering, 9.4 per cent. The turnover of building construction went up by 7.5 per cent and that of specialised construction activities by 5.2 per cent.
The sales volume of construction enterprises grew by 11.8 per cent in civil engineering. In building construction, the sales volume grew by 6.7 per cent and in specialised construction by 4.4 per cent.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
