Turnover of construction enterprises grew by good 7 per cent in February to April

In February to April 2015, the turnover of construction enterprises increased by 7.4 per cent and the sales volume by 7.2 per cent year-on-year. In the corresponding period one year earlier turnover grew by 2.2 per cent.

Turnover grew in all construction industries. The turnover of civil engineering grew most, by 16.1 per cent. The turnover of specialised construction activities increased by 6.4 per cent and that of civil engineering by 6.2 per cent.

The sales volume of construction enterprises grew by 18.8 per cent in civil engineering. The sales volume of specialised construction activities increased by 6.2 per cent and that of construction of buildings by 5.9 per cent.

The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.

Time series have been updated

The time series for turnover and the volume index have been updated. The update mainly affects the annual changes of 2010. Otherwise the changes are minor. The updated data are found in the database tables .
