Turnover of construction enterprises grew by nearly 9 per cent in November to January
According to Statistics Finland, the turnover of construction enterprises grew by 8.8 per cent and sales volume by 7.3 per cent in November to January. In the corresponding period one year earlier, turnover grew by 1.6 per cent. Turnover made an upturn in 2014 and the growth has further accelerated during 2015.

Turnover continued to grow in all construction industries. The growth was strongest in building construction, where 11.3 per cent more turnover was accumulated than in the November to January period one year ago. The turnover of specialised construction activities increased by 7.6 per cent and that of civil engineering by 5.6 per cent.
In November to January, the sales volume of construction enterprises grew most in building construction, by 9.4 per cent. In civil engineering, the sales volume grew by 7.8 per cent and in specialised construction by 5.7 per cent.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
