Turnover of construction enterprises growing in the second quarter of 2016
According to Statistics Finland, the turnover of construction enterprises grew by 12.4 per cent and sales volume by 10.0 per cent in April to June. In the corresponding period one year earlier, turnover increased by 7.7 per cent.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover of construction (TOL 2008)
Turnover continued to grow in all construction industries. The growth was strongest in building construction, where 14.7 per cent more turnover was accumulated in April to June than one year earlier. The turnover of specialised construction activities increased by 12.0 per cent and that of civil engineering by 7.3 per cent.
In April to June, the sales volume of construction enterprises grew most in building construction, by 11.5 per cent. In civil engineering, the sales volume grew by 10.6 per cent and in specialised construction by 8.8 per cent.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
