Revised financial accounts data for 2006 published

Annual financial accounts data for 2006 have been revised and are now final. The preliminary data were published in July 2007. At the same time the time series of the statistics describing the financial balance sheets and financial flows of the different sectors of the national economy have been changed as from the year 2001 onwards.

As regards the year 2006, the biggest revisions to preliminary data were made in the data on non-financial corporations and rest of the world sectors. The most important time series revision concerns households' net equity in life insurance reserves, a part of which was reclassified to other sectors' assets. Changes were also made to mutual fund share transactions, among other things, according to the national accounts property income revision.
