Road traffic accidents claimed 10 lives in February
According to preliminary data of Statistics Finland, 185 accidents involving personal injury happened in road traffic in February 2022. In them, 10 persons were killed and 250 persons injured. The number of persons killed was one higher and that of persons injured 90 higher than in February 2021. The data were compared with the previous year's preliminary data.

Of the persons who were killed, 10 travelled by passenger car. Among those who died, five were men and five were women.
A total of 386 road traffic accidents involving personal injury happened in January to February period. In them, 20 persons were killed and 496 persons injured. The number of persons killed was three lower and that of persons injured 79 higher than in the corresponding period of 2021. Of the persons who were killed, 18 travelled by passenger car. Pedestrians killed numbered two.
