Industrial output grew by 9.2 per cent in July
According to Statistics Finland, output of total industries adjusted for working days was 9.2 per cent higher in July 2010 than twelve months earlier. Seasonally adjusted output fell by 3.3 per cent in July relative to the month before.
Adjusted for working days, industrial output grew by 7.9 per cent from one year back in July. In the manufacture of basic metals output went up by as much as 35.8 per cent in July. Output in the manufacture of paper products grew by 21.3 per cent from twelve months back. Output of sawn timber adjusted for working days was in July 19.1 per cent up year-on-year. The manufacture of motor vehicles grew by 26.7 per cent in July. Output declined most, or by close on 40 per cent, in the building of ships and boats.
