Enterprises’ turnover in 2014*
* preliminary data
Despite the fall in turnover, manufacturing was able to increase its operating result from the previous year by cutting expenses. The operating result generated from trade was slightly lower than in 2013, because the general operating expenses could not be adjusted to the fall in the sales margin.
In the services sector, the growth in turnover came from the industry of Information and communication activities, where turnover grew to EUR 17.8 billion, or by EUR 1.3 billion. The industry's operating result improved by EUR 0.4 billion. The growth was almost entirely due to the gaming industry.
