Nordic Statistical Meeting gathers statistical professionals in Helsinki
The Nordic Statistical Meeting will gather Nordic and Estonian statistical professionals in Helsinki in August next year. The theme for the event is Facts for Future - facing the future with knowledge.
The conference will have around 400 participants from the statistical field. The event will include speeches on digitalisation, statistical literacy and the possibilities of artificial intelligence. Short courses related to statistics will be arranged before the conference.
“I think this is an exciting time to work with statistics. I do not think our work has ever been this relevant,” says the chair of the Programme Committee, Statistics Finland's Head of Research Faiz Alsuhail.
“I am sure that Helsinki is the perfect venue for an event that will be both useful and fun.”
The Nordic Statistical Meeting will be arranged between 27 and 28 August 2019.
