The Statistical Programme brings together the changes and reforms of Finland's statistics production for 2025 and the main long-term development measures. Over the next few years, the balancing of general government finances and the resulting savings targets will have an effect on the way statistics are compiled and to some extent on the supply of statistics as well.

19 Dec 2024 Statistics on housing and construction are renewed

The statistics on housing and construction are renewed in 2025. Statistics Finland will establish a new set of statistics on building stock and new production, which will replace the statistics on buildings and free-time residences and the statistics on building and dwelling production, both of which will be discontinued.

10 Dec 2024 Statistics Finland will make changes to statistics production in 2025

Statistics Finland has decided to cut down statistics production because of central government savings. Statistics Finland will discontinue four sets of statistics and reduce the production of 12 statistics. Further analysis is ongoing concerning two sets of statistics. The changes will enter into force during 2025.
