Appointments at Statistics Finland

Mr Pasi Henriksson, Master of Science, has been appointed Director of the Management Services Department, and Ms Hannele Orjala, Master of Social Sciences, Director of the Business Trends Department at Statistics Finland.

Mr Henriksson has been appointed Director of Management Services in the Management Services Department for the five-year term between 1 December 2010 and 30 November 2015. He comes to Statistics Finland from the position of Director of Administration at the Finnish Environment Institute. The Management Services Department is responsible for Statistics Finland's general management, employer duties, personnel and legal services, personnel development and financial administration services.

Ms Hannele Orjala has been appointed Director of Business Trends in the Business Trends Department for the five-year term between 1 October 2010 and 30 September 2015. Ms Orjala has held the position of Director of Business Trends at Statistics Finland since 2005. The Business Trends Department produces and develops statistics, databases and services as well as related know-how concerning business trends, transport and tourism. The Department also maintains Statistics Finland's Register of Enterprises and Establishments.
