Statistics Finland will update hourly prices of charged activities at the beginning of 2027
NewsStatistics Finland will raise the hourly prices of its charged activities starting from 1 January 2027. The price adjustment concerns assignments in which pricing is based on Statistics Finland's expert work. The change aims to ensure the cost coverage of services and Statistics Finland's financial position in the tightening economic situation.
The previous adjustment of hourly prices was made in spring 2024. After that, personnel costs have risen yearly in accordance with collective agreements, and the general cost level has also increased. The price increase ensures that the pricing of services meets the costs of producing them.
The new tax-free hourly prices are as follows:
- Competence requirement group 14– (e.g. Senior Researchers and Heads of Development): EUR 150 per hour (previously EUR 140 per hour)
- Competence requirement group 10-13 (e.g. Senior Statisticians and Planners): EUR 130 per hour (previously EUR 115 per hour)
- Competence requirement group 7-9 (e.g. Statisticians): EUR 95 per hour (previously EUR 85 per hour)
- Competence requirement group 0-6 (e.g. Assistant Statisticians): EUR 85 per hour (previously EUR 75 per hour)
- Interviewers: EUR 40 per hour (previously EUR 35 per hour)
Value added tax is added to the prices.
The new prices will be applied to all new assignments that start to be implemented in 2027 or later. Ongoing tender and consultation processes will proceed according to the current pricing. Valid assignments extending to 2027 or further will be reviewed and, if necessary, the price will be updated according to the terms of agreement. In such cases, we will contact the customer directly.
Statistics Finland's chargeable services are utilised in tailored surveys, studies, data production and other expert services, for example. The aim of the price update is to ensure that services can be offered on a high-quality and sustainable economic basis in future as well.
