According to Statistics Finland's employment statistics, the number of jobs was 88,900 lower at the end of 2020 than in the year before. The number of jobs fell most in manufacturing (-19,100), accommodation and food service activities (-19,000), and transportation and storage (-16,100). In relative terms, the number of jobs fell most in accommodation and food service activities. At the end of 2020, the number of jobs in the industry was 71,000, which was 21 % lower than one year earlier.
