Number of nights spent by resident tourists 16 per cent lower than last year in July 2022

In total, 2.69 million overnight stays were recorded for resident tourists and 0.57 million overnight stays for non-resident tourists in July 2022. The number of nights spent by resident tourists was 16 per cent lower than in July 2021. The number of overnight stays by non-resident tourists was triple compared to the previous year. The total number of overnight stays in July 2022 was on the same level as in July 2019 before the corona pandemic. These figures are preliminary data from Statistics Finland's accommodation statistics.
