Share of energy imported from Russia 34 per cent of total energy consumption in 2021

Statistics Finland and the Natural Resources Institute Finland calculated in collaboration the share of energy imported from Russia in total energy consumption by energy source. According to preliminary data, energy imported from Russia accounted for 34 per cent of Finland's total energy consumption in 2021. As expected, the share of natural gas was highest, 92 per cent.
