Most establishments in service industries in 2022
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, there were 606,810 establishments operating in Finland in 2022 and 1.5 million staff-years were worked in them. In 2022, the number of establishments grew by 2.6 per cent from the previous year. In relative terms, most establishments were set up in arts, entertainment and recreation (TOL R).

- The development of entrepreneurial activity in 2022 resulted from the elimination of the coronavirus restrictions, Russia's attack on Ukraine, inflation and rising interest rates.
- The combined turnover of establishments grew by 15.3 per cent from 2021.
- The combined gross value of output of establishments, which measures the actual production of the establishment, was 13.9 per cent higher in 2022 than in 2021.
- After excluding production costs from the gross value of output, the value added of establishments was 8.5 per cent higher than in 2021.
