Building cost index 2023, April

Building costs rose by 3.1 per cent in April year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, building costs rose by 3.1 per cent in April 2023 from one year back. Among materials, the biggest increases in the year were recorded in heat insulation (18.7 %). Costs decreased most in the year in timber structures (-21.3 %) and precast concrete units (-4.4 %).
